GATSBY GALA
An Art Deco transformation
The Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation had planned to ring in the 2020s with a 1920s themed gala, but like so many organizations, had to postpone their rip-roaring event until 2022.
So when the time finally came, the Foundation was jazzed to bring the Gatsby vibes to Sun Prairie!
To start, I reimagined the Foundation’s sunrise over an open book logo in a gilded, Art Deco style befitting a lavish party in West Egg or a downtown speakeasy.
EVENT ASSETS
Using the event branding established with the Art Deco logo, I incorporated the same colors and themes into the invitations, tickets, and swag donors received at the gala.
To increase community excitement for the gala, the Foundation also planned a speakeasy inspired beer tasting.
By tweaking the colors and textures of the gala branding, I created a different, but on brand, prohibition era aesthetic for this event to be used for digital invitation and custom coasters.
